QuickBooks error 1311 is encountered while installing the financial details to the excel file. It may also appear when you try to install QuickBooks from the CD.

- QuickBooks installation is damaged.

Method 1: Installing QuickBooks from the local
storage.
- After inserting QuickBooks installation CD.
- Press Quit when the installation starts itself.
- Create a new folder on the desktop.
- Now, open the CD-ROM and press Ctrl+A.
- Copy all the selected items and paste it in the newly
created folder.
Method 2: To restrict CD-ROM access to local
users
- Reach administrative tools in the control panel.
- Here go to the option of local security policy and
choose the security option.
- From here, select your MS windows version and make a
click on Restrict CD-ROM access to local users.
Method 3: Checking compatibility issues.
- Reach the add or remove programs tab in the control
panel.
- Select Microsoft office by double clicking on it.
- Select the option to repair in order to fix any
installation errors.
Method 4: By performing Scan and
installation.
- From the all program menu, select the control
panel.
- Select the option to run as administrator from the
command prompt.
- And, type FSC/SCANNOW in the command prompt.
- Once the scanning gets over, type msiexec/unregin,
press enter.
- Again, enter msiexec/regserver and enter.
