Fix QuickBooks Payroll Error PS033
PS033 Error happens when the user tries to download the latest payroll update or he attempts to open the company file.
The causes for happening of this error are:
- CPS folders are having damaged files.
- Payroll service key is not correct.
- The subscription of payroll is not active.
This error can be fixed by the following
methods:
- Downloading the latest payroll tax tables.
You have to download the
payroll tax tables from the employees tab in QuickBooks
Download entire update<<Download latest
update.
It will get updated and a new window will
appear.

Renaming the QuickBooks
CPS folder.
Some damaged files can also cause this
error, therefore you can fix this error by renaming this folder by going to
C:\program files\Intuit\QuickBooks 20XX\Components\Payroll an\d type
CPS.OLD at the end of the folder.

By turning off
User Account control from the control panel.
Go to Control panel<< User Accounts and
then change user account control settings and go to Never notify and click
OK.

By verifying and
rebuilding QB data.
Go to File<< click Utilities<<
verify/Rebuild data.
Once this is done, it will create a
backup.
And, then update the payroll tax table.
