How to Fix QuickBooks Online Error Code 101?

Error 101 is a scripting error which occurs when the window fails to execute te command needed to run web-based applications. 

 

Causes of Error 101: 

·        Windows fail to run Flash, Java and .NET framework and ActiveX. 

·        Internet explorer settings might be poorly configured. 

·        Window components like Microsoft .NET framework and activeX are outdated. 

·        Script debugging is disabled. 

How to fix QuickBooks Online Error Code 101?

By reconfiguring Internet Explorer for proper functioning of QB online. 

Add Intuit as a trusted website 

Add intuit and QuickBooks ad tested website under the list of trusted websites under the security tab in Internet options. 

 

Reset IE’s pop up settings. 

Check marks the ‘Always allow session cookies’ and also ensure that first and third party cookies are accepted under the browser settings. 

Enable ActiveX controls and TLS 1.2. 

In the security tabs of the Internet, go to the Internet zone and select ActiveX controls and plugins. 

 Under this head, enable Download “signed activeX controls, binary and script behaviors, Script activeX controls marked safe for scripting. 

Also from the Advanced tab and use TLS 1.2 checkbox is check marked.

 

Updating .NET framework, java and adobe flash player on windows 

Download the latest release of Java download center. 

Download the latest release for flash player and also updates for Microsoft .NET framework. 

 

Updating banking in QuickBooks online 

From the banking section of QB online, click on Update icon and update online banking.
