Fix Error "Failed to send usage data" While Update

 You may face several errors while operating QuickBooks. One such error is Error “Failed to send usage data” which usually appears while updates. This error can interrupt with your payroll services tasks. 

The possible reasons which result in this error are:

Date and time are not correct. 

Accountant copy has been created.

You can fix this error by the below-given methods:

  1. Editing the payroll service key.
  2. Reach to employee section<< Choose My payroll service.
  3. Select Manage your service key<< click on Edit.
  4. On the dialog box click OK.
  5. Reach back to the employee section and from the My payroll tab, select Send usage data.
  • Checking the Date and time of the system. 
  • Go to the Control panel<< select clock, language, region tab.
  • Click on Change time and date<< Make changes in the time and date. 
  • To check if there is an accountant’s copy. 
  • Check if there is an accountant copy and make the changes manually, or wait for the return of this copy. 
  • Next, you need to delete all the online transactions from the top of the menu bar and << going to Advanced tab.
  • In drop down, select ‘Filter detail level<< choose summary. 
  • Again from the drop down, Choose ‘Filter online status<<Online to send.
  • Finally, select Filter posting status from filter option. 
  •     You should check for non payroll transactions and complete the processing and    remove them.
